Education and Experience
_____
I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of therapy experience. My approach to psychotherapy is holistic and eclectic, integrating cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, psychodrama and mindfulness based interventions, recognizing the crucial interaction between body and mind.
I received my B.A. from the University of California, San Diego with Honors and Special Honors in Psychology. I obtained my M.A. and Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver and completed my doctoral internship at the Denver Veterans Administration Medical Center. In addition to being a certified Trauma Therapist in PITT (Psychodynamic Imaginative Trauma Therapy, Dr. Luise Reddemann), I have participated in extensive workshops and retreats in Mindfulness Meditation with various teachers, including Jon Kabat-Zinn, Christopher Germer and James Baraz.
A native of San Diego, California, I have lived in Germany in the Stuttgart area since 1990. I have been married for 28 years, have three young adult children and a Siberian Husky.
